Al-Houthi: U.S. is the mastermind behind Israeli genocide in Gaza

Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badreddine al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement, delivered a powerful speech on Thursday, holding the United States chiefly responsible for the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza.
In his televised address, Sayyed al-Houthi declared that Washington’s establishment of an air bridge to supply the Israeli occupation directly implicates it as a central actor in the war. “The American-Israeli axis poses a serious threat to global humanity,” al-Houthi said, warning that this alliance shows complete disregard for human life.
Gaza War: A Strategic Failure for ‘Israel’
Al-Houthi underscored what he described as the strategic failure of the Israeli occupation, noting that after more than a year and a half of intense warfare, “Israel has not achieved its military objectives in Gaza.” Despite its advanced weaponry and relentless bombardment, he noted, Israeli forces have failed to assert full control over the besieged enclave.
He also highlighted the growing global awareness of Israel's criminality, stating that public sentiment is shifting even in Western societies. “The occupation is increasingly seen as oppressive and illegitimate—not only in the Arab world but also among people in the U.S. and Europe.”
Yemen’s Example: Unified Support for Gaza
Al-Houthi called for unified action among Arab and Muslim nations, urging governments and their citizens to apply coordinated pressure on the aggressors. “The steadfastness of Gaza’s resistance deserves real support. Yemen’s model, both at the grassroots and official levels, sets a powerful example of what true solidarity looks like.”
Escalation of Military Operations Against Israeli and U.S. Targets
The Ansar Allah leader praised recent military operations by the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF), citing a “surprising and precise strike” on the Israeli-occupied city of Haifa. According to YAF spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree, a hypersonic ballistic missile successfully hit a critical Israeli site, triggering panic and forcing millions into shelters. Israeli air defense systems reportedly failed to intercept the missile.
General Saree also confirmed two additional operations against U.S. aircraft carriers—the USS Harry S. Truman and USS Carl Vinson—as well as their warship escorts, operating in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea. These actions were part of Yemen’s continuing efforts to disrupt Zionist and American naval operations linked to the war in Gaza.
“The arrival of more American warships has done nothing to shift the balance,” Sayyed al-Houthi noted. “Our capabilities remain intact, and our determination is unshaken.”
U.S. Airstrikes and Drone Losses in Yemen
In a renewed show of aggression, U.S. aircraft carried out multiple airstrikes in northern Yemen this week, targeting the al-Salem district in Saada province and Kamaran Island in the Red Sea. Local sources confirmed that further attacks hit the al-Salif district in the west.
The airstrikes came shortly after the YAF announced the successful downing of a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone conducting "hostile operations" off the coast of Hajjah province. Saree emphasized that this marks the seventh such drone shot down in April, bringing the total to 22 since the beginning of Yemen’s pro-Gaza operations.
U.S. in Decline: Budget Cuts and Retreat
Al-Houthi concluded his address by pointing to Washington’s diminishing global influence, referencing recent budget reductions within the U.S. State Department and the closure of various embassies. “These decisions reflect a deepening internal crisis in the United States,” he said, suggesting they signal America’s growing incapacity to dominate global affairs.
A Global Call for Justice
Echoing the cry of the oppressed, Sayyed al-Houthi reaffirmed Yemen’s unwavering support for Gaza and called upon the world’s free peoples to stand against genocide. “To support Palestine is a moral and human obligation. As long as the aggression continues, so will our resistance.” (ILKHA)
