New Afghan ambassador submits credentials to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to the Russian Federation, Mawlawi Gul Hassan Hassan, has officially begun his diplomatic mission in Moscow by submitting a copy of his credentials to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Yuryevich Rudenko.
The Afghan Embassy in Moscow issued a statement confirming that the credential handover ceremony took place earlier this week, marking a significant step in the formalization of Ambassador Hassan’s appointment. The submission of a copy of credentials is part of the standard diplomatic process prior to the presentation of the original letter of credence to the host country's head of state.
According to the embassy’s statement, the formal presentation of the original credentials to Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to take place in an upcoming official ceremony.
This move reflects the Islamic Emirate’s continued efforts to strengthen diplomatic and bilateral relations with the Russian Federation, as Afghanistan seeks to enhance its regional and international partnerships under the new political leadership. (ILKHA)
