Orphans Foundation shares Eid blessings with Bangladesh’s poor

The Orphans Foundation (Yetimler Vakfı) spread smiles and shared the joy of Eid al-Adha with orphans and needy families in Bangladesh through its annual sacrifice slaughtering and distribution initiative.
The foundation, known for its humanitarian efforts both domestically and internationally, delivered sacrificial meat to impoverished communities, bringing the festive spirit to those in need.
The Orphans Foundation, which has been active in Bangladesh for years, organized the meticulous process of purchasing, slaughtering, and distributing sacrificial animals across various cities. The initiative targeted poor, orphaned, and disadvantaged families, ensuring the Eid celebrations reached their tables.
Mehmet Akdağ, the foundation’s Bangladesh representative, oversaw the operations, emphasizing the care taken in the process. “We showed great care in purchasing, slaughtering, and distributing the meat of sacrificial animals in Bangladesh,” Akdağ said. “We carefully selected animals over two years old that met sacrificial qualifications. Our volunteer teams, acting on the donors’ behalf, bought the animals, read each donor’s name individually, and entrusted butchers to perform the slaughter with takbirs.”
The foundation’s efforts were met with gratitude from recipients, brightening the holiday for countless families. Akdağ expressed heartfelt thanks to the donors, stating: “I sincerely thank all the donors who made orphans and those in need smile by entrusting their sacrifice proxies to the Orphans Foundation.”
The Orphans Foundation continues its longstanding commitment to supporting Bangladesh’s vulnerable communities, reinforcing the spirit of compassion and solidarity during Eid al-Adha. (ILKHA)
