Palestinians face another night of terror as Israeli aggression intensifies across West Bank

Israeli occupation forces and armed settlers launched a new wave of aggression across the occupied West Bank on Monday, carrying out large-scale raids, assaults on civilians, and land seizures under heavy military protection.
In the northern West Bank, Israeli military vehicles stormed the city of Tubas from the north, raiding several homes and spreading across residential neighborhoods. In the Qalqilya Governorate, troops invaded the northern section of Azzun, firing sound bombs into densely populated areas and terrifying residents. Raids were also reported in Kafr Laqif, Amatin, and Hajja, where Israeli soldiers patrolled streets and established military checkpoints, disrupting civilian movement.
In Ramallah, occupation forces set up a military checkpoint at the town’s entrance, while in Shuafat Camp in occupied Jerusalem (al-Quds), Israeli troops fired tear gas toward residential homes, causing suffocation cases among families.
Settler violence also surged. On Monday evening, armed settlers closed the western entrance of Tuquu, southeast of Beit Lahm (Bethlehem), attacking Palestinian vehicles and damaging property. In the southern West Bank, settlers seized vast tracts of agricultural land belonging to residents of Idhna, west of al-Khalil (Hebron), after plowing hundreds of dunams under the protection of Israeli soldiers.
Jaber Tmeizi, the mayor of Idhna, said Israeli soldiers fired tear gas and sound grenades to disperse Palestinians who tried to defend their lands. “This is not only land theft but a coordinated assault between settlers and the occupation army to take control of our resources,” Tmeizi said.
In a further provocation, the al-Khalil municipality revealed that the Israeli Civil Administration has approved a new settlement plan in the heart of Hebron’s Old City. The plan includes constructing two settler buildings on the site of the city’s central vegetable market, a property owned by the municipality. Palestinian officials condemned the move as another step in Israel’s attempt to Judaize the city and erase its Palestinian identity.
According to the Jerusalem Governorate’s report for October 2025, Israeli forces killed one Palestinian, injured 40 others, and arrested 87 people in the occupied city. The report also documented 15 home demolitions, 68 settler attacks, and over 10,800 settler incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound — one of the highest monthly figures recorded this year.
Israeli authorities also issued a new military order to uproot trees and confiscate land in the villages of Ras Karkar and Kafr Ni’ma, west of Ramallah. The order targets approximately 15 dunams of fertile Palestinian land, allegedly for “military purposes.” Local residents and rights groups condemned the measure as part of Israel’s long-term strategy to fragment Palestinian rural communities and expand settlement zones.
Palestinian officials and human rights observers warn that these daily incursions, settler attacks, and land seizures are part of a deliberate effort to consolidate Israel’s control over the West Bank and prevent the emergence of a viable Palestinian state.
“These repeated attacks, from home demolitions to land confiscations, reflect the occupation’s deep-rooted policy of dispossession,” said a statement by the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “The silence of the international community only encourages Israel to continue violating Palestinian rights with impunity.”
As the situation across the occupied territories intensifies, Palestinian residents say they are left to face settler militias and military raids alone — defending their homes, land, and dignity in the face of what they describe as an ongoing campaign of occupation and ethnic cleansing. (ILKHA)
