Putin says Russia recognizes Iran’s efforts to end Middle East conflict
Russian President Vladimir Putin has described the ongoing situation in the Middle East as the region’s most pressing challenge, saying Moscow recognizes Iran’s efforts to bring the conflict to an end.
Speaking during a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Putin stressed the urgency of addressing the regional crisis.
“Of course, the most pressing problem today is the situation in the region,” Putin said.
He added that Russia was aware of Tehran’s genuine efforts to end the conflict, underscoring Moscow’s attention to Iran’s diplomatic initiatives amid heightened regional tensions.
The meeting comes as Russia and Iran continue consultations on regional developments and efforts to resolve the ongoing crisis through diplomatic engagement. (ILKHA)
