Senior commander of the IRGC's Quds Forces Major General Qasem Soleimani was killed in air strike in Baghdad airport.
The senior commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Qasem Soleimani and the acting commander of the Deputy Commander of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (the Hash al-Shaabi) Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandes were separately leaving Baghdad airport in two cars when they were targeted by a US helicopter attack on Friday morning.
General Soleimin is said to have arrived in the airport from Lebanon.
