Seven killed as Israel bombs displaced Palestinians in Gaza

Israeli occupation army bombed a tent sheltering a Palestinian family on Tuesday night in the western part of Gaza City, resulting in the martyrdom of seven individuals and injuring several others.
Local sources reported that the tent, located at the fishermen’s port in west Gaza City, was hit by an Israeli airstrike despite clearly being used as a shelter by displaced families who had fled previous bombardments. Eyewitnesses described a horrific scene as emergency teams worked to recover the bodies of the martyrs and tend to the wounded.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, the martyrs included women and children, underscoring the indiscriminate nature of the ongoing Israeli attacks. Medical teams said the number of injured was still being confirmed, with many rushed to nearby hospitals in critical condition.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that at least 71 civilians had been martyred in Israeli aerial and artillery attacks across multiple areas of the besieged enclave since dawn. Residential neighborhoods, shelters, and makeshift camps for displaced Palestinians continue to be relentlessly targeted, exacerbating the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza.
This latest massacre adds to the mounting toll of civilian casualties since the beginning of the Israeli aggression, which has now entered its eighth month. Human rights organizations and local authorities have repeatedly warned that the deliberate targeting of civilian shelters constitutes a war crime under international law.
Despite widespread international condemnation, Israel continues to escalate its military campaign in Gaza, further displacing families and destroying what little remains of civilian infrastructure.
Palestinian resistance groups and civil society leaders have called on the international community, particularly the United Nations and humanitarian agencies, to intervene urgently to halt the bloodshed and provide protection for civilians trapped under bombardment. (ILKHA)
