Three killed in police helicopter crash in southern Thailand

Three members of the Royal Thai Police died on Saturday when a police helicopter crashed and caught fire in south-central Thailand, according to official reports.
The Bell 212 helicopter, operated by the Kanchanaburi Police Aviation Unit, went down near a village in Prachuap Khiri Khan province. Authorities confirmed that the two pilots and a mechanic on board were killed in the crash.
Rescue teams arrived swiftly at the scene, where firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze. However, the cause of the crash remains undetermined at this time.
In an official statement, the Royal Thai Police expressed condolences to the victims’ families. National Police Chief Kitrat Panphet has ordered an immediate investigation into the incident and pledged that compensation would be provided to the bereaved families.
