Turkish FM Hakan Fidan meets Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov in Vienna
Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan held a meeting with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on Wednesday during his visit to Vienna.
According to diplomatic sources, the discussions centered on the continued development of the strong fraternal and strategic ties that bind Baku and Ankara across all spheres. Both ministers emphasized the critical importance of maintaining their high-level political dialogue as a cornerstone of bilateral relations.
A key focus of the talks was the regional security landscape. The top diplomats reviewed the current situation and the measures being taken to ensure lasting peace and stability in the region, a shared priority for the two countries.
Economic and infrastructure cooperation featured prominently on the agenda. The ministers explored prospects for advancing joint projects in the fields of trade, energy, and transport connectivity, building on existing corridors that link the two nations.
The meeting also highlighted the close and coordinated cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye within various international organizations. Both sides affirmed that their mutual support on global platforms actively contributes to fostering broader regional cooperation.
