A devastating fire at Kasana Junior School in Masaka city has resulted in a rising death toll, now standing at seven lives lost.
The incident initially claimed two young lives on Monday when a fierce inferno engulfed the school's boys' dormitory.
Tragically, five more victims have succumbed to their injuries at Kiruddu Referral Hospital, where they were urgently transported for treatment.
The authorities, led by Masaka's deputy regional police commander, Jamada Wandera, are actively investigating the incident to determine the cause of the fire.
