Ukrainian strike paralyzes major Russian supply route to Crimea
Ukrainian forces have successfully struck the strategically vital Armiansk bridge linking occupied Crimea with mainland Ukraine, destroying 50 Russian military vehicles loaded with ammunition and fuel, according to the 1st Separate Assault Regiment “Da Vinci.”
The regiment confirmed the strike on June 11, stating that the bridge has been put out of commission and that no further assaults on it are required. “The enemy’s important logistical route is completely paralyzed,” the unit said in its report.
The targeted vehicles were carrying supplies intended for Russian operations near Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, the regiment added.
The Armiansk bridge attack was part of a broader overnight Ukrainian operation against Russian military infrastructure in occupied Crimea. Local authorities and monitoring channels reported multiple explosions across the peninsula, with strikes hitting several bridges, including those near the settlements of Preobrazhenka and Myrne, a road bridge on the Perekop–Armiansk route, and another near the village of Stavky, according to Volodymyr Saldo, the Russian-installed head of occupied Kherson Oblast.
These operations form part of an intensifying Ukrainian campaign to disrupt Russian logistics networks used to transport fuel, weapons, and other supplies to frontline forces in occupied territories. Kyiv’s strategy focuses on isolating Crimea from Russia by targeting critical supply routes.
The coordinated attacks underscore Ukraine’s growing emphasis on deep strikes and logistical disruption using unmanned systems and precision munitions to weaken Russian sustainment capabilities in southern Ukraine. (ILKHA)
