US airstrikes massacre civilians in Yemen’s capital, Sana’a

A recent series of U.S. airstrikes in Yemen’s capital city, Sana’a, have resulted in the deaths of at least 12 civilians, with 30 others sustaining injuries.
The barbaric attacks targeted the bustling Furwah neighborhood market in the Sha’ub district, a lifeline for local families, leaving a trail of devastation and heartbreak.
Heart-wrenching footage aired by al-Masirah satellite channel exposed the carnage: shattered buildings, burned vehicles, and grieving Yemenis cradling the lifeless body of a child. Wounded civilians, their lives torn apart, wailed in agony as they were carried to overwhelmed hospitals. The Yemeni people, resilient yet under siege, rushed to aid their neighbors amidst the rubble.
The US onslaught didn’t stop there. Strikes rained down on other densely populated areas of Sana’a, including the Faj Attan neighborhood and a vital sanitation project in Aser, threatening the city’s infrastructure. Overnight, the aggression extended to Amran, Hodeida, Marib, and Saada governorates, further terrorizing Yemen’s defiant population.
This latest massacre follows Saturday’s relentless US bombardment, with 29 airstrikes targeting northern Yemen and claiming more civilian lives. Just last week, the US callously bombed the Ras Issa fuel port, murdering 80 civilians and injuring 171 others in a heinous attack on Yemen’s economic lifeline.
These cowardly acts of aggression reveal the US’s disregard for Yemeni lives and sovereignty, as the proud nation continues to endure unrelenting foreign assaults. The people of Yemen stand united, mourning their losses but unwavering in their resolve to resist. (ILKHA)
