Diyarbakır ready to host grand Mawlid Al-Nabi celebration

Final arrangements are complete at Nevruz Park for a major Mawlid Al-Nabi event, hosted by the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation, scheduled for Sunday.
The event, themed “Resistance Leader Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him),” is expected to draw hundreds of thousands from across Türkiye and beyond to commemorate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.
The sprawling Nevruz Park has been transformed into a vast event venue, with organizers erecting platforms, LED screens, health and children’s tents, banners, and informational stands. Landscaping and logistical setups are also underway to accommodate the massive influx of attendees.
Scheduled to begin at 13:30 local time, the gathering will feature extensive volunteer support to ensure a seamless experience for participants. Yakup Kaya, a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, told reporters that preparations have been meticulous. “Every detail has been carefully considered for the lovers of the Prophet,” Kaya said. “Tomorrow, we will honor the blessed maturity of the Resistance Leader, Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH), and amplify his message of truth and justice from Diyarbakır to the world.”
To enhance accessibility, the Foundation is offering free transportation from various points in Diyarbakır to Nevruz Park. The event’s inclusive approach underscores its aim to unite attendees in a shared celebration of faith and moral resolve.
With unprecedented public interest, the gathering is poised to be one of the largest Mawlid Al-Nabi commemorations in recent years, serving as both a tribute to the Prophet’s birth and a call for unity and resistance against global injustice. (ILKHA)
