U.S. President Joe Biden, who is in Ottawa today for an official visit, has met with Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
“Today, U.S. President Joe Biden and I covered plenty of ground. We spoke about growing our economies, creating good jobs for the middle class, supporting the Ukrainian people, fighting climate change, continuing to strengthen the partnership between Canada and the United States, and more,” Trudeau wrote on Twitter.
“The United States and Canada celebrate our progress under the Roadmap for a Renewed U.S.-Canada Partnership over the past two years and reaffirm our historic alliance, steadfast friendship, and commitment to overcome the daunting challenges of today and realize the full potential of the relationship in the future,” a joint statement by President Biden and Prime Minister Trudeau.
