Antalya Diplomacy Forum targets global rifts with ‘reclaiming diplomacy’ theme
The fourth edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF2025), hosted by Türkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the patronage of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is set to take place from April 11-13, 2025, in Antalya.
With the theme “Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World,” the forum aims to address the urgent need for diplomacy to serve as a stabilizing force amid deepening global divisions.
Organizers highlighted a range of pressing challenges undermining international cooperation, including growing geopolitical tensions, rising inequalities, increased violence against civilians, intolerance toward differing perspectives, technological disruptions, and the multifaceted impacts of the climate crisis. These issues have eroded trust in international institutions and shaken confidence in global justice, exposing the limitations of the current multilateral system.
The ADF2025 will bring together global leaders, policymakers, academics, business experts, media representatives, and civil society to explore solutions to systemic problems in the international order. The forum seeks to foster dialogue on how diplomacy can navigate today’s complex crises and restore its role as a cornerstone of peace and cooperation.
Key discussions will focus on rethinking diplomacy’s core principles in a polarized world, addressing the root causes of global instability, and developing innovative tools for conflict resolution, mediation, and regional collaboration. The forum will also examine the dysfunction of international organizations and propose new approaches to rebuild trust in global governance. A special emphasis will be placed on the role of non-governmental stakeholders, exploring how their contributions can make diplomacy more inclusive, adaptable, and resilient.
ADF2025 also aims to highlight the importance of non-governmental actors in complementing traditional diplomacy, as well as ways to make diplomatic efforts more inclusive, flexible, and resilient in the face of shifting global currents.
By fostering candid dialogue and encouraging joint action, the Antalya Diplomacy Forum aspires to reinvigorate diplomacy as a tool for sustainable peace, justice, and international cooperation.
With participants from across the globe, ADF2025 is poised to deliver forward-thinking strategies to strengthen diplomacy as a driving force for peace and cooperation in an increasingly fragmented world. (ILKHA)
