Afghan Deputy Health Minister arrives in Türkiye to boost medical cooperation
Mawlavi Abdul Wali Haqqani, the Deputy Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, has arrived in Türkiye at the head of a high-ranking delegation to pursue expanded cooperation in the health sector.
According to the Ministry of Public Health, the visit aims to improve the quality of healthcare services in Afghanistan by acquiring new medical expertise, studying advanced scientific and specialized centers, and exploring opportunities for training and technical exchange.
During the trip, the Afghan delegation is expected to meet officials from both the Turkish government and private healthcare institutions. Discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral collaboration, securing support for medical capacity-building, and identifying Turkish partners that can assist Afghanistan in developing modern healthcare infrastructure.
The visit comes as Afghanistan continues efforts to rebuild its health system and broaden international engagement, with Türkiye remaining one of Kabul’s key partners in humanitarian, medical, and developmental fields. (ILKHA)
