Hope Caravan launches charity bazaar in Siirt to support orphans and the needy

The Hope Caravan Association (Umut Kervanı Derneği) has launched a three-day charity bazaar in Siirt to raise funds for orphans and families in need.
The event, which opened on Güres Street, has drawn considerable interest from local residents and visitors alike.
The bazaar, featuring a variety of products including homemade foods, handicrafts, textile items, and decorative ornaments, aims to channel all proceeds directly to vulnerable families and orphans in the province.
During the opening ceremony, Ramazan Tokdemir, President of the Siirt Hope Caravan Association, emphasized the importance of community solidarity and urged citizens to contribute to the cause.
“We are organizing this three-day bazaar so that every lira collected here can go directly to support our orphans and those in need. In a city like Siirt, where unemployment remains a serious challenge, the number of people seeking help from our association is steadily increasing,” Tokdemir said.
He highlighted the critical role of non-governmental organizations in cities with limited economic opportunities and called on philanthropists, both inside and outside Siirt, to become active partners in charitable work.
“To our fellow citizens living outside the city who are financially able: we call on you to be a part of this goodness. Lend a hand to the orphans, the ill, and the needy right here in Siirt,” he appealed.
The association also reminded the public that, in addition to local charity efforts, they are currently running aid campaigns for Gaza and preparing for sacrifice distributions for the upcoming Eid al-Adha.
Visitors to the bazaar expressed satisfaction at being able to support a worthy cause while enjoying local products made by Siirt’s women and artisans.
Hope Caravan officials reiterated that 100% of the income from the bazaar will go toward meeting the essential needs of disadvantaged families and orphans in the region.
The bazaar will continue to operate on Güres Street for three days, and the association has invited all citizens to take part and help amplify the reach of this community-driven initiative. (ILKHA)
