Erdoğan, Sharif reaffirm Türkiye-Pakistan ties in phone call

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a telephone conversation with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during which the two leaders discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and global developments, according to a statement from the Turkish presidency.
Erdoğan emphasized that the deep-rooted friendship and enduring solidarity between Türkiye and Pakistan continue to strengthen through the steps taken in recent years. He reiterated Ankara’s commitment to further enhancing cooperation with Islamabad in various fields.
In a show of goodwill, President Erdoğan also extended Eid Mubarak greetings to Prime Minister Sharif, marking the upcoming Islamic festival.
The two leaders reaffirmed their mutual desire to continue working closely on shared interests and challenges affecting the broader region. (ILKHA)
