Erdoğan: Today’s investments will shape future generations
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has stressed the importance of investing in younger generations, describing people as the country’s greatest treasure and well-raised youth as its most valuable legacy.
Speaking at the Science Dissemination Society’s 75th anniversary gathering in Istanbul, Erdoğan said raising conscious, healthy and well-educated young people who love their homeland and nation was a long-term responsibility requiring patience and dedication.
“Undoubtedly, our greatest treasure is people. Our greatest legacy will be conscious, healthy and well-raised youth who passionately love their homeland and nation,” he said.
Erdoğan emphasized that the results of educational and social investments often emerge over decades, noting that the work carried out today would shape future generations.
“Raising people is a long-term work that requires effort and patience,” he said. “Just as we and our children are reaping the fruits of the seeds sown 75 years ago, the seeds to be spread into soil today will yield fruit after a quarter century, after a half a century.”
The president’s remarks highlighted the importance of sustained investment in education and youth development, as the Science Dissemination Society marked 75 years of activity. (ILKHA)
