HAKSİAD delegation secures new trade deals at international agricultural fair in Urmia
A delegation from the Association of Rights and Industrialists Business People (HAKSİAD) has concluded a productive visit to Iran, where they participated in the 16th International Agricultural Industries and Machinery Fair held in West Azerbaijan Province.
The two-day trip in Urmia resulted in several new commercial agreements aimed at strengthening cross-border trade and industrial cooperation.
Led by HAKSİAD Deputy Chairman Maruf İçke, the delegation attended the fair as special guests of the Urmia Chamber of Commerce. The team toured various industrial facilities and held back-to-back meetings with Iranian manufacturers, exporters, and business representatives. According to officials, these engagements culminated in multiple concrete trade contracts, particularly in the import–export sector, marking a significant step forward in bilateral economic relations.
In a written statement, İçke described the visit as highly successful, noting that the delegation achieved results beyond initial expectations. “Our participation at the Urmia agricultural fair and the meetings we held produced outcomes more beneficial than we had hoped for. Beyond the commercial achievements, we were deeply moved by the sincere hospitality and attention shown by our Iranian counterparts,” he said.
İçke added that the visit not only opened avenues for new long-term partnerships but also reinforced the importance of regional cooperation. He stressed that such initiatives play a key role in boosting neighborly relations and promoting economic integration between Türkiye and Iran.
HAKSİAD officials expressed optimism that the agreements signed in Urmia will translate into broader industrial collaboration in the coming months, further strengthening the commercial bridge between the two countries. (ILKHA)
