HÜDA PAR MP calls for warship-protected flotillas to break Gaza siege

HÜDA PAR Mersin MP Faruk Dinç delivered a passionate plea at a press conference in Turkey’s Grand National Assembly, urging the international community to establish a secure humanitarian corridor to Gaza.
Condemning Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, now in its 20th month, Dinç called on the international community and Islamic countries to mobilize aid flotillas, under protection, to deliver lifesaving assistance to the besieged Palestinian population. “These ships should be protected by warships and warplanes if necessary. Israel must be warned that attacks on these flotillas will be treated as acts of war.”
Dinç criticized the international community for responding with only statements of condemnation, stressing that real, concrete action is urgently needed to address Israel’s ongoing violations of international law. He highlighted the recent Israeli seizure of the humanitarian ship Madleen, which was carrying food and medicine from Italy when intercepted in international waters on June 1. Twelve activists from various countries were detained, with four released following global pressure. Eight, including Turkish citizens Hüseyin Şuayb Oruç and Yasemin Acar, remain in custody, with a court hearing scheduled for July 8.
“These activists were taken hostage without legal justification,” Dinç said. “This is a disgrace to humanity.” He called for a blockade of Israel by land, sea, and air, labeling it a “terrorist entity” that disregards human dignity.
Dinç also pressed the Turkish government to take swift diplomatic action to secure the release of its detained citizens. “Turkey must act decisively for these innocent activists standing with the oppressed,” he urged.
Expressing solidarity with global supporters of the Palestinian cause, Dinç saluted “everyone who raises their voice against genocide” and pledged HÜDA PAR’s continued support for the Palestinian resistance.
The MP’s remarks come as Gaza faces a worsening crisis, with over 54,000 reported deaths and famine gripping the enclave, fueling calls for stronger international action against Israeli aggression. (ILKHA)
