Magnitude 4.7 earthquake strikes Aegean Sea off Bodrum, Türkiye

A magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck the Aegean Sea off the coast of Bodrum, in Türkiye’s southwestern Muğla province, on Sunday at 10:22 AM, according to the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD).
The offshore tremor occurred at a depth of 6.28 kilometers, AFAD confirmed in a statement on Twitter.
Local sources reported that the earthquake was felt across parts of southwestern Türkiye, but there have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation, and further assessments will determine if any structural impacts or aftershocks follow the initial tremor. (ILKHA)
