Orphans Foundation brings Eid joy to hundreds of children in Siverek

Just days before Eid al-Fitr, hundreds of orphaned children in Siverek district, Şanlıurfa, were given a reason to smile as the Orphans Foundation distributed festive clothing, ensuring they could celebrate the holiday with joy and dignity.
The initiative, aimed at bringing happiness to children who have shouldered life's burdens at a young age, saw orphans receive brand-new clothes, filling their hearts with excitement. The children eagerly wore their colorful Eid outfits, sharing their happiness with one another in a heartwarming display of community solidarity.
Speaking about the initiative, Faruk Baylan, the Siverek Representative of the Orphans Foundation (Yetimler Vakfı), emphasized the foundation’s commitment to supporting children in need:
"As the Orphans Foundation, we are delighted to bring joy to hundreds of orphaned children ahead of Eid al-Fitr. Our goal is to make these children feel loved, cared for, and remind them that they are not alone. This initiative is a testament to the spirit of solidarity and brotherhood in our society. Seeing our children step into Eid with happiness and new clothes brings us immense joy."
Baylan also highlighted the importance of caring for orphans in Islam, referencing a well-known hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):
"The Prophet (PBUH) said, 'I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this,' putting his index and middle fingers together." (Bukhari, Edeb, 24)
The Orphans Foundation successfully organized this effort with the generous support of philanthropists who contributed to making Eid special for these children. Baylan extended his gratitude to all those who helped, encouraging continued generosity:
"We will keep working to bring smiles to the faces of our orphan brothers and sisters. Those who wish to contribute to this noble cause can reach out to us and help expand this effort further."
Through the unwavering support of donors and volunteers, the Orphans Foundation continues to bring hope and joy to orphaned children, ensuring they feel the warmth of love, care, and community, especially during meaningful occasions like Eid al-Fitr. (ILKHA)
