As the Muslim world enters the sacred "Three Months" (Rajab, Sha‘ban, and Ramadan), the Orphans Foundation (Yetimler Vakfı) has issued a powerful call for spiritual renewal, mutual assistance, and focused prayer for the oppressed across the globe.

In an official statement marking the beginning of this holy season, General Coordinator Cemil Cahit Ünsal described the period as a divine opportunity for mercy, abundance, and forgiveness.

Opening his message with the traditional prophetic supplication—“O Allah, bless us in the months of Rajab and Sha‘ban and allow us to reach Ramadan”—Ünsal emphasized that reaching this season is a profound blessing for believers.

"In this precious period, we pray to hold our hearts accountable, discipline our souls, and further strengthen our consciousness of worship," Ünsal stated. He urged the faithful to utilize these months as a "spiritual preparation" phase, seeking acceptance for repentance and answers to their prayers.

A significant portion of the Foundation’s message was dedicated to the plight of those living under siege and persecution. Ünsal specifically highlighted the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza and Palestine, calling for the Ummah to unite in both prayer and action.

"Let us ask for injustice to come to an end, for justice to be established, and for peace and safety to prevail. Let us act without forgetting that we stand alongside the Palestinian people and all the oppressed through our prayers and assistance."

The Foundation is calling on the public to translate their spiritual devotion into tangible support for the vulnerable. Ünsal encouraged believers to integrate the "purifying power of charity" into their daily lives during Rajab and Sha‘ban.

The Orphans Foundation’s message centered on three vital pillars of community action: caring for orphans, ensuring financial solidarity, and fostering communal sharing. They urged the faithful to provide a meaningful place for the fatherless at their family tables and within their personal prayers, emphasizing that caring for orphans is a fundamental duty. This spiritual commitment is to be paired with financial action, specifically through fulfilling religious obligations such as Zakat, Fitrah, and Sadaqah to provide relief to those in dire need. Ultimately, the foundation calls for a renewed sense of communal responsibility, encouraging believers to strengthen their bonds with neighbors and the impoverished to ensure that the blessings of the season are felt by all.

Closing his address, Ünsal expressed his hope that this season would serve as a catalyst for goodness throughout the Muslim world.
