President Erdoğan to host Ukrainian leader Zelenskyy for high-level talks in Ankara

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy today during a working visit to Türkiye.
Fahrettin Altun, Head of Communications for the Turkish Presidency, shared details of the visit in a post on his social media account, highlighting that the two heads of state will conduct comprehensive discussions on recent developments in the war and Türkiye’s continued call for de-escalation.
"Today, our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine, who is paying a working visit to our country, to comprehensively discuss the latest developments in the context of the Russia-Ukraine war,” Altun stated.
According to the Turkish Presidency, the agenda will also include bilateral and inter-delegation meetings where President Erdoğan is expected to reiterate Ankara’s position on the urgent need for a ceasefire and the immediate launch of peace negotiations.
In addition to the war, both leaders will exchange views on priority items from the Türkiye–Ukraine bilateral agenda, encompassing political, economic, and humanitarian cooperation.
The visit underscores Türkiye’s ongoing role as a regional mediator and its commitment to supporting diplomatic solutions to the conflict in Eastern Europe. (ILKHA)
