The Prophet’s Lovers Foundation convened another significant rally this week in Diyarbakır, Türkiye, to condemn the expansionist and genocidal policies of the Israeli occupation regime.

The foundation’s statement, delivered in front of the Diclekent Mosque in Kayapınar district, emphasized the urgency of countering Israeli policies and highlighted the necessity of regional unity among Islamic nations to address these threats effectively.

Yakup Kaya, a member of the foundation’s Board of Directors, delivered a powerful address recounting decades of oppression faced by Palestinians. Kaya detailed the historical injustices, starting with the establishment of Israel in 1948, which he referred to as the beginning of a systematic campaign of occupation and displacement.

He cited alarming figures: more than 200,000 Palestinians have been killed since 1948, with nearly 50,000 fatalities recorded in Gaza since the escalation on October 7, 2023. These include thousands of women and children, underscoring the indiscriminate nature of the violence. Over 10 million Palestinians have been displaced, creating the world’s largest refugee population. Kaya further highlighted the plight of over one million Palestinians who have been imprisoned since 1967, many subjected to inhumane torture.

“Our brothers and sisters in Gaza and the occupied territories endure unimaginable suffering,” Kaya said. “Their homes are demolished, their lands are confiscated, and their basic human rights are violated daily. The silence of the international community emboldens the Zionist regime to continue its genocidal policies unchecked.”

The October 7 Aqsa Flood Operation, launched by Hamas, was hailed by Kaya as a “milestone” in the struggle against Israeli occupation. He argued that the operation exposed the true face of international actors, who, according to him, have consistently supported Israel’s policies at the expense of Palestinian lives.

“Operation Aqsa Flood revealed the double standards of global powers,” Kaya stated. “It is unprecedented in history to see such widespread support for an occupying force committing genocide. Western imperialist powers use the Zionist regime as a tool to realize their enmity against Islam and Muslims, abandoning their professed values of human rights and justice.”

Kaya’s speech heavily criticized the role of Western powers and international organizations in enabling Israeli actions. He accused these entities of moral and institutional collapse, highlighting their failure to hold Israel accountable for violations of international law.

He pointed out the systematic nature of Israeli aggression, citing attacks on Lebanon, incursions into Syria, and the occupation of the Golan Heights as part of a broader strategy to destabilize the region.

“The Zionist regime is exploiting the divisions and silence of Islamic nations to expand its reach,” Kaya said. “This silence is not only a betrayal of Palestinian Muslims but also a danger to the entire region, as it emboldens Israel to target other nations.”

Kaya warned that Israel’s expansionist ambitions pose a direct threat to neighboring countries, including Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, and Egypt. He called on Islamic nations to set aside internal conflicts and unite against the common threat posed by Israeli policies.

“The expansionist policies of the Zionist regime are not limited to Gaza,” Kaya emphasized. “The attacks on Lebanon, incursions into Syria, and the bombing of strategic zones are clear indications that Israel’s ambitions extend far beyond its current borders. Without regional unity, these policies will eventually engulf the entire Middle East.”

Kaya stressed that relying on Western nations to counter Israeli aggression is futile. He argued that Islamic countries must form their own alliances, leveraging their collective political, economic, and military strength to resist Israeli policies.

The Prophet’s Lovers Foundation outlined a series of demands directed at both Islamic nations and the broader international community:

Immediate Action Against Genocide in Gaza: Kaya called for urgent measures to halt the massacres in Gaza, urging Islamic countries to fulfill their moral, political, and military responsibilities.

Support for Palestinian Resistance: The foundation recognized Hamas as the legitimate representative of the Palestinian people and called for international pressure to ensure a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, reconstruction efforts, and humanitarian aid delivery.

Regional Alliances: Kaya emphasized the need for Islamic nations to form alliances to counter Israeli expansionism. This includes providing military, logistical, and technological support to resistance movements.

Economic Boycotts: He called for a comprehensive boycott of goods supporting Israel and an end to oil shipments that benefit the regime.

Withdrawal from Occupied Territories: The foundation demanded concrete steps to end Israeli occupation of the Golan Heights and protect Syria’s territorial integrity.

Accountability for War Crimes: Kaya urged the implementation of international court decisions to prosecute Israeli leaders, including Prime Minister Netanyahu, for genocide and war crimes.

The rally concluded with a call for sustained resistance and solidarity with the Palestinian people. Kaya expressed unwavering commitment to the liberation of Jerusalem and the dismantling of the Zionist regime.

“The Aqsa Flood Operation has shown that resistance is not futile,” Kaya declared. “We stand in solidarity with the heroic people of Gaza and the mujahideen who resist occupation. The time has come for Islamic nations to rise together and put an end to this injustice.”
