Prophet’s Lovers Foundation invites all to Mawlid Al Nabi in Diyarbakır

Preparations are underway for the annual Mawlid Al Nabi celebration, organized by the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation, set to take place this Sunday, April 20, at Nevruz Park Rally Area in Diyarbakır’s central Bağlar district.
This year’s event, themed “Resistance Leader Prophet Muhammad,” aims to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) with a focus on his legacy of resilience.
The city is abuzz with anticipation as the Foundation promotes the event through banners and posters displayed across Diyarbakır’s streets and intersections. Stands have been set up at various points in the city, where organizers are engaging the public with book gifts, candy, and Turkish delight, inviting residents to join the celebration.
Yakup Kaya, a member of the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation Board of Directors, shared details about the preparations, emphasizing the city’s enthusiasm for the event. “Diyarbakır has embraced the spirit of Mawlid Al Nabi,” Kaya said. “We have set up stands across the city and adorned streets with posters and tarpaulins to invite everyone to the ‘Resistance Leader Prophet Muhammad’ event. We eagerly await Sunday to come together with the people of Diyarbakır, from ages 7 to 70, to remember and understand our Prophet.”
The event is scheduled to begin at 13:30 on Sunday, April 20, at Nevruz Park Rally Area. Kaya extended a heartfelt invitation to all residents, urging them to join in honoring the Prophet’s life and teachings. “We look forward to meeting the people of Diyarbakır at this meaningful celebration,” he added.
The Mawlid Al Nabi event, held annually with a unique theme, continues to draw significant participation, reflecting Diyarbakır’s deep reverence for Prophet Muhammad and his enduring message. (ILKHA)
