Rear Admiral Zeki Aktürk, Press and Public Relations Advisor and Spokesperson of the Turkish Ministry of Defence, reaffirmed that the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) remain fully prepared to counter any threats.
Speaking at the weekly press briefing, Aktürk emphasized that the TAF continues its operations without interruption to eradicate the terrorist threat in the region.
“In the last week, 57 terrorists were neutralized in operations conducted in northern Iraq and Syria. This brings the total number of terrorists neutralized in 2024 to 278,” he stated.
The Turkish Armed Forces have been actively conducting cross-border operations to ensure regional security, with ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorist elements.
