Turkish police arrest 12 ISIS-linked suspects in Istanbul
In a coordinated operation spanning multiple locations throughout Istanbul, authorities have apprehended 12 individuals suspected of having ties to the ISIS.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had issued detention warrants for a total of 14 suspects in connection with the case.
The arrests were carried out by dedicated teams from the Istanbul Security Directorate. It is believed that these individuals were engaged in activities on behalf of ISIS, raising serious concerns about their potential involvement in extremist activities.
Following their apprehension, the suspects were swiftly transported to police headquarters for further interrogation. Medical procedures were also conducted to ensure their health and well-being during the detention process.
Currently, efforts are actively underway to locate and capture the two remaining fugitive suspects, as law enforcement agencies work diligently to address this security concern and safeguard the city. (ILKHA)
