Turkish police arrest 17 FETO-linked suspects in Izmir
A major operation targeting the Gülenist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) has led to the detention of 17 suspects.
The operation, organized by Izmir Security Directorate teams, was part of an ongoing investigation by the Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office into FETÖ/PDY activities.
A detention warrant had been issued for 18 individuals, all accused of praising the ringleader of the organization in their social media posts. While 17 suspects were apprehended during the operation, one individual remains at large.
This operation is the latest development in a broad and comprehensive investigation aimed at dismantling FETÖ networks in Izmir. (ILKHA)
