Türkiye's Erdoğan meets Pakistan Prime Minister Sharif

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in Samarkand for the 22nd Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), met with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif of Pakistan.
"Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met in Samarkand, and discussed bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields," Pakistan's Prime Ministry said in a statement on Facebook.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is a Eurasian political, economic, and security organization.
In terms of geographic scope and population, it is the world's largest regional organization, covering approximately 60% of the area of Eurasia, 40% of the world population, and more than 30% of the global GDP.
According to the Charter of the SCO, summits of the Council of Heads of State shall be held annually at alternating venues. (ILKHA)
