Türkiye has dispatched 24 tons of food aid to Gaza as part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts to support Palestinians amid the deepening crisis, the country’s National Defense Ministry announced on Thursday.
Turkish Air Force A400M military cargo plane transported the supplies, landing at Amman Civil Airport in Jordan earlier in the day. The aid will be delivered to Gaza through Jordanian authorities, who have been a key transit partner for humanitarian assistance to the besieged enclave.
Türkiye has been actively providing medical, food, and emergency aid to Gaza since the escalation of Israeli aggression following October 7, 2023. The Turkish government has consistently called for an immediate ceasefire, the unrestricted flow of humanitarian assistance, and an end to hostilities in the region.
As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza worsens, Türkiye has reaffirmed its commitment to continuing relief efforts in collaboration with regional partners and international organizations. Officials have emphasized that ensuring uninterrupted aid delivery remains a priority.
The latest food aid delivery is part of Ankara’s broader humanitarian initiative, which has included previous shipments of medical supplies and essential goods to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people. (ILKHA)
