Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to visit Türkiye on Tuesday for high-level discussions with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as part of a broader diplomatic tour.
Fahrettin Altun, Director of Communications at the Turkish Presidential Office, confirmed the visit, stating that the strategic partnership between Türkiye and Ukraine will be reviewed in detail. “During the meetings, all aspects of the strategic partnership between Türkiye and Ukraine will be reviewed, and steps necessary to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries will be discussed,” Altun said.
The leaders are also expected to exchange views on the latest developments in Ukraine and other regional and global issues, reflecting Türkiye's ongoing diplomatic engagement in the conflict.
Zelenskyy's visit to Türkiye follows his participation in the 61st Munich Security Conference, where he outlined his upcoming diplomatic schedule. Before arriving in Türkiye, the Ukrainian leader will hold talks in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia.
The visit underscores Türkiye's role as a key regional player and mediator, particularly in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict and broader geopolitical affairs. (ILKHA)
