Women in Diyarbakır raise funds for Gaza with charity bazaar

A group of women in Diyarbakır came together to organize a charity bazaar aimed at supporting Gaza, surpassing their initial goal and raising funds to provide five tents for displaced residents.
The Women’s Branch of the Talaytepe Prophet Lovers' Representation in Kayapınar, Diyarbakır, spearheaded the initiative to contribute to the Hope Caravan’s tent city project. What began as a modest effort to fund just one tent quickly grew with the help of generous donors, allowing the women to collect enough money for five tents in a single day.
The group visited Hope Caravan Diyarbakır to hand over the donations, where they were warmly received by the organization’s Women’s Branch. Speaking after the handover, Gülistan Yıldız, a representative of the Talaytepe Prophet Lovers' group, expressed gratitude to all who supported the cause and voiced her hope that similar efforts would spread to other communities.
“We talked among our friends about the situation in Gaza and decided to support Hope Caravan’s tent campaign,” Yıldız said. “Our plan was to contribute a small tent, but Alhamdulillah, with the bazaar and generous contributions, we raised enough for five tents. We hope this kind of solidarity continues elsewhere. Thank you to everyone who helped—may Allah be pleased with them. Inshallah, a ray of hope will reach Gaza from here too.”
The successful fundraising effort highlights the power of community action in providing tangible aid to those in need, with the funds set to support Hope Caravan’s ongoing relief work in Gaza. (ILKHA)
