Martyrs Caravan Platform and Mustazafs Society will jointly organize a commemoration program on the 9th anniversary of the brutal attack by PKK/HDP militants that claimed the lives of Yasin Börü and his friends.
The victims were distributing sacrificial meat to needy families on Eid al-Adha when they were mercilessly murdered on October 6-8, 2014.
The commemoration program will honor the memory of Martyr Yasin Börü, Hüseyin Dakak, Hasan Gökgöz, Riyad Güneş, Turan Yavaş, Cumali Güneş, and many other religious people in the region who fell victim to the attacks.
Ömer Çelik, President of Martyrs Caravan Platform, extended an invitation to the people of Diyarbakır to attend the program, emphasizing the importance of remembering the victims and their cause. The event is scheduled to begin at 20:00 on Sunday, October 8, at the conference hall of Selahaddin Eyyubi Mosque campus.

Çelik highlighted the severity of the wounds inflicted by the events of October 6-8, 2014, describing the atrocities as unprecedented. The victims, who set out to distribute meat to the poor, were subjected to brutal violence, including being stabbed, burned, and run over, with the perpetrators displaying inhumane acts such as dancing over the corpses.
Characterizing the struggle as one between right and falsehood, Çelik stressed that this commemoration is an annual effort to ensure that the tragic events are not forgotten. He emphasized that despite the savagery witnessed, history has shown that falsehood is destined to disappear, and the truth prevails.
The commemoration program and conference aim to unite the community in remembering the victims and standing against the brutality committed by extremist ideologies. The organizers encourage the public to join the event and contribute to preserving the memory of the victims of the heinous attacks. (ILKHA)
