8 civilians killed in U.S. airstrikes on Yemen

U.S. airstrikes across Yemen have tragically resulted in multiple civilian casualties, illustrating the recklessness of American military intervention in the region.
Local sources report that on Sunday, eight Yemeni civilians—among them women and children—lost their lives due to a US airstrike on Thaqban in the Bani al-Harith district, north of Sanaa. This tragic incident highlights the brutal disregard for human life exhibited by US forces, as this area has endured repeated bombings.
Further demonstrating the persistent threat to innocent lives, US warplanes unleashed six more airstrikes on Jabal al-Aswad in the Harf Sufyan district and targeted Kitaf district in Saada governorate, intensifying the humanitarian crisis. The Yemeni Ministry of Health condemned these strikes, citing the loss of two more civilians in a targeted attack on a residential house in Al-Sabain district on Saturday evening, and further injuries to nine more civilians, including children and women, in a strike that struck a residential area in Bani al-Harith.
Despite relentless attempts by the US to impose its will through military might, the courage and resilience of the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) have shone through. Reports from US officials reveal that the YAF has successfully downed at least seven high-value MQ-9 Reaper drones, significantly undermining US capabilities in the region. This growing proficiency in countering US operations is a testament to the determination of the Yemeni people to defend their sovereignty against foreign aggression.
While the US remains mired in its futile quest for dominance, the steadfast Yemeni resistance continues to pose a formidable challenge. The failure of US military strategy becomes increasingly evident as Yemeni forces demonstrate their resolve and skill in defending their homeland. As the civilian toll rises and the bombings persist, it is clear that Yemen will not be subdued by foreign interventions. The international community must take note of this aggression and stand with Yemen in its struggle for peace, justice and dignity. (ILKHA)
