Afghanistan: Islamic Emirate committed to sharia-based governance
Mawlavi Mohammad Younus Rashid, Deputy Minister for Youth Affairs at the Ministry of Information and Culture, reaffirmed the Islamic Emirate’s dedication to implementing a governance system rooted in Islamic Sharia and modeled after the administration of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs.
Rashid made the remarks during his visit to Farazhghan district in Laghman province, according to a ministry statement released on Saturday.
During the visit, local youths voiced their concerns and aspirations, calling for increased employment opportunities as well as programs focused on capacity-building, intellectual development, and improved access to education.
Responding to these concerns, Rashid stated, “The Islamic Emirate has already initiated useful and diverse national programs for youth; the district’s youth will soon benefit from these initiatives.”
He also addressed critics of the government, emphasizing that many lack a full understanding of the Emirate’s policies. “We are building a true system founded on Islamic principles, following in the footsteps of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs,” he said, highlighting the government’s vision for governance that aligns with Islamic teachings.
The visit underscores the Islamic Emirate’s ongoing focus on engaging with young Afghans and developing programs to support their social, educational, and professional growth. (ILKHA)
