Afghanistan, Malaysia express optimism over growing bilateral partnership
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and Malaysia have held discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in defense and institutional development, officials said.
Naqibullah Ahmadi, Chargé d’Affaires of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Kuala Lumpur, met with Datuk Muhammad Yani, Secretary-General of the Malaysian Ministry of Defense, during an official engagement focused on enhancing mutual cooperation between the two sides.
According to statements from the meeting, both parties emphasized their commitment to deepening diplomatic and institutional ties, with particular attention to technical cooperation and capacity-building initiatives.
The discussions also reflected a shared interest in expanding areas of collaboration that could benefit both countries, with officials expressing optimism about the future of their partnership based on mutual respect and shared interests.
Both sides underlined the importance of continued dialogue to further develop relations in areas of common interest, particularly in institutional strengthening and defense-related coordination.
