Deadly traffic accident claims 21 lives in Afghanistan's Helmand Province

A horrific traffic accident on the Herat-Kandahar highway in Afghanistan's Helmand Province has claimed the lives of 21 people and injured 38 others, 11 critically.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning in the Yakhchal area of Grishk district. Local authorities report that a bus collided with a motorbike before crashing into an oil tanker. The resulting impact caused a fire that engulfed all three vehicles.
The Information and Culture Directorate of Helmand Province confirmed the fatalities, which include 16 passengers on the bus, 2 motorcyclists, and 3 tanker occupants.
The injured were transported for medical treatment at hospitals in Grishk district and Lashkargah City, the provincial capital. (ILKHA)
