Ethnic conflict in Ghana: 10 dead, many injured
Violent clashes between two ethnic groups have left 10 people dead and many others injured in Ghana's Upper East Region.
The incident occurred in the northern town of Bawku, where longstanding tensions between the Mamprusi and Kusasi communities have once again erupted. Armed confrontations between the groups quickly escalated, spreading panic throughout the area.
Authorities confirmed that at least 10 individuals lost their lives and a significant number were wounded in the violence. Following the outbreak, a curfew was imposed in Bawku, and additional security forces were deployed to restore order.
