Five civilians, most of them children, were killed on Wednesday morning in an Israeli airstrike targeting a gathering of citizens in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Medical sources confirmed that the victims included four children and one adult who were near a food stall and a local bakery east of the camp. The bombing adds to the escalating civilian toll from the ongoing Israeli military operation in Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023.
Since dawn today, 18 Palestinians, including women and children, have been killed in airstrikes targeting central and southern Gaza, according to medical reports.
The total death toll in Gaza has reached 44,502, with the majority of victims reported to be women and children. Additionally, 105,454 people have been injured since the beginning of the Israeli aggression, based on updated figures from health authorities in the region.
