Hamas thanks allies worldwide after ceasefire agreement in Gaza

Abu Obeida, the military spokesperson for Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades, expressed profound gratitude to those who supported the Palestinian Resistance during the recent conflict in Gaza, following the implementation of a ceasefire agreement on Sunday.
In a televised statement, Abu Obeida described the ceasefire as a significant step towards halting Israeli aggression and the “genocidal war against the Palestinian people.” He emphasized that the Resistance had pursued this agreement for months to protect Palestinian lives.
Abu Obeida praised the people of Gaza for their resilience, stating they had created "a historical epic" that would be remembered as a milestone in Palestinian history. He highlighted the Resistance's success in opening multiple fronts against Israeli forces and imposing a naval blockade during the Al-Aqsa Flood Battle, which he called a turning point in the struggle against the Israeli occupation.
He attributed the unity of Resistance factions as a key factor in the fight, stating: “We fought shoulder to shoulder with our brethren in all the Resistance factions as one entity.” Despite facing overwhelming odds, he noted that the Resistance confronted Israeli forces with limited weaponry and immense faith.
The spokesperson paid tribute to senior Hamas leaders, including martyrs Ismail Haniyeh, Saleh al-Arouri, and Yahya Sinwar, who lost their lives in the conflict. "The greatness of this battle lies in the martyrdom of its leaders," he said.
Abu Obeida reaffirmed Hamas' commitment to the ceasefire, contingent on Israel’s adherence to the terms. He stressed the importance of ensuring the agreement’s success to protect Palestinian lives and rebuild what was destroyed during the conflict.
The al-Qassam spokesperson extended gratitude to supporters of the Palestinian cause, singling out Ansar Allah and the Yemeni people for their solidarity. He also thanked the Lebanese Islamic Resistance, Iran, Iraqi Resistance fighters, and Jordanian forces for their contributions, as well as global activists who stood with Gaza.
He praised the city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank as a symbol of resistance and expressed determination to rebuild Gaza, calling for solidarity and cooperation among Palestinians.
Abu Obeida concluded his address by denouncing Israel as the root cause of suffering in the region. He warned that attempts to integrate Israel into the Middle East would face resistance from “free peoples worldwide.”
The ceasefire agreement comes after months of devastating conflict in Gaza, which has left tens of thousands dead and widespread destruction across the territory. The truce aims to halt hostilities and allow for humanitarian aid and reconstruction efforts. (ILKHA)
