Hamas warns: Gaza’s humanitarian catastrophe reaches deadly new heights

The Hamas Movement has urgently sounded the alarm over the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, following the World Food Program’s (WFP) announcement that its food supplies in the besieged territory have been completely depleted.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Hamas declared that the WFP’s revelation confirms the entry of Gaza’s steadfast population into the phase of actual famine, a direct consequence of the brutal siege and genocidal aggression imposed by the Zionist occupation forces.
Hamas strongly condemned the Israeli regime's systematic use of starvation as a weapon of war, accusing the Netanyahu government of committing one of the gravest crimes against humanity. "The deliberate targeting of water stations and food distribution centers by the Israeli occupation is a flagrant violation of international law and a heinous act of collective punishment against an entire civilian population," the statement asserted.
Warning of catastrophic consequences if the complete blockade is not immediately lifted, Hamas stressed that over 2.25 million Palestinians — already subjected to relentless bombings, massacres, and a genocidal war — are now at risk of dying from hunger, thirst, and disease.
Hamas called upon the international community, humanitarian organizations, and all free peoples of the world to urgently intervene to halt the Zionist crimes, break the inhumane siege, and ensure the immediate and unrestricted flow of food, water, medicine, and fuel into Gaza.
The Movement also made a passionate appeal to Arab and Islamic nations — their governments, peoples, parties, and organizations — to fulfill their historic, religious, and moral duties. Hamas urged them to move beyond silence and passive condemnation, to actively mobilize and deliver vital life-saving supplies to Gaza’s heroic people, who continue to stand firm in the face of a barbaric campaign of extermination and forced displacement.
"The steadfast people of Gaza are writing an epic of resistance and resilience with their blood, sacrifice, and unbreakable spirit," Hamas affirmed, calling on the world to stand firmly alongside the Palestinian cause and against the injustice inflicted upon Gaza. (ILKHA)
