Hezbollah vows never to yield arms to Israeli occupation

Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem reaffirmed the steadfastness of the Resistance in the face of Israeli aggression, declaring that surrendering arms or compromising Lebanon’s sovereignty is not an option under any circumstance.
Sheikh Qassem made it clear that Lebanon’s defense and the Resistance's weapons are matters of national dignity and sovereignty, not subject to negotiation or foreign interference. “We will not be dragged into humiliation. We will not give up our land. We will not accept any threat that demands we compromise,” he said.
He denounced recent attempts by external powers and Israeli-aligned entities to interfere in Lebanon’s internal affairs, emphasizing that, “Discussions about weapons or other matters are internal issues that we address within our own framework. Israel has no role in overseeing or dictating the terms of any agreement.”
Sheikh Qassem condemned the Zionist regime’s repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon, revealing that over 3,700 breaches have been documented. He warned that Israeli aggression, including attacks on civilians and infrastructure, cannot continue unchecked.
“The responsibility to confront these violations now falls squarely on the shoulders of the Lebanese state,” he declared, urging national institutions to fulfill their duty to protect the homeland and its people.
Broadening the scope of Hezbollah’s resistance, Sheikh Qassem said the struggle is not only about military defense, but about resisting a strategic and ideological threat that spans the region. “The threat of Israel is not only limited to Muslims—it is a real danger to Christians and Jews as well,” he warned, denouncing the regime’s expansionist ambitions and destabilizing influence.
He called upon all free people, regardless of their religion or political affiliation, to recognize the Israeli occupation as a humanitarian threat and to stand against its violations.
The Hezbollah leader condemned recent Israeli attacks on Lebanese civilians, including the bombing of Nabatieh and strikes targeting individuals in the money exchange sector. “Do you imagine we will remain silent for eternity?” Sheikh Qassem asked. “All of this has limits.”
He reiterated that the Resistance is acting not out of provocation, but in response to ongoing Israeli aggression, recalling the occupation of Syrian territory, the attacks on Iran, and the destruction inflicted upon the region—all without justification or provocation.
Responding to critics, Sheikh Qassem said, “Others may choose not to confront the occupation; that’s their choice. But Hezbollah’s resistance is rooted in human, Islamic, and national values, and driven by a responsibility to future generations.”
He called for unity among those who reject occupation and injustice, regardless of ideology, and warned that coexisting with the Zionist entity—"an expanding and invasive danger"—is both dangerous and impossible. (ILKHA)
