Iran launches eighth wave of missile strikes on Israeli military targets

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched another wave of precision missile strikes targeting Israeli military sites late Monday night, according to Iranian state media.
This latest action marks the eighth wave of retaliatory strikes since Friday, when the occupying Israeli regime conducted unprovoked and coordinated attacks on multiple Iranian sites, including military and nuclear facilities. Iran’s operation is part of Operation True Promise III, aimed at deterring further aggression and defending Iranian sovereignty.
Press TV confirmed the strikes targeted key positions in northern occupied territories, including Haifa, Krayot, and regions within Galilee and Lower Galilee. The Iranian military emphasized that the missile strikes were aimed at military and strategic locations and were carried out with precision to minimize harm to civilians.
Israeli sources, including Channel 12 and Yedioth Ahronoth, reported intercept activity and missile landings in open areas, further validating the effectiveness and reach of Iran's missile program. While Israeli authorities claimed that three ballistic missiles were fired—one intercepted and two landing in open terrain—the operation has successfully demonstrated Iran’s capability to strike deep within hostile territory.
Following the missile barrage, Israel's military instructed residents in northern regions to seek shelter, highlighting the widespread disruption caused by the retaliatory strikes. Later, the Home Front Command cautiously allowed people to exit protected zones, though tension remains high.
Despite Israeli claims of casualties from earlier retaliatory strikes, Tehran maintains that its military operations have been strictly targeted and proportional, responding to the killing of Iranian civilians and the attack on sovereign Iranian infrastructure. Iranian officials reaffirm that the Islamic Republic is committed to peace but will not hesitate to confront unlawful aggression with resolute force.
This latest operation underscores Iran’s commitment to defending its people and standing against what it views as criminal Zionist expansionism and occupation. The Islamic Republic reiterated that it seeks peace and stability in the region, but will not hesitate to act when provoked.
The world now watches closely as Iran reaffirms its regional posture — not as an aggressor, but as a nation defending its sovereignty and resisting injustice. (ILKHA)
