Islamic Emirate leaders warn of Western attempts to undermine Afghanistan’s Islamic system
Senior officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan converged at a key meeting this week, issuing a resounding call for national unity and strongly condemning the consistent Western efforts to undermine Afghanistan's Islamic governance.
The meeting, organized by the Ministry of Vice and Virtue in coordination with the Kabul governor’s office, brought together religious scholars, tribal elders, businessmen, community leaders, and media representatives.
Minister of Vice and Virtue, Mohammad Khalid Hanafi, emphasized that the West has never accepted the idea of a self-reliant Islamic system and continues to interfere in Afghan affairs through political pressure and ideological influence.
“The West has always attempted to dismantle Islamic systems. Today, their goal is to weaken Afghanistan’s Islamic governance and replace it with a system that serves their interests,” Hanafi said.
He called on the media to uphold integrity, present the truth to the public, and relay issues responsibly to relevant authorities. Hanafi also stressed the importance of unity in safeguarding the Islamic system: “Let us unite so the enemy cannot interfere and create division among us. God willing, the Afghan nation will not be deceived again.”
‘Islamic Emirate Rescued the Nation from Fragmentation’
During the same event, Abdul Salam Hanafi, Administrative Deputy to the Prime Minister, highlighted the dire conditions Afghanistan once faced before the Islamic Emirate restored order.
He recalled the fragmentation of the country into competing zones of power during past administrations, noting that Afghans were subjected to countless checkpoints and had to carry multiple identity cards merely to travel within their own homeland.
“There was a time when traveling from one area to another required ten different ID cards to show at various checkpoints. People could not move freely from north to south or vice versa,” he said, underscoring that the Islamic Emirate ended this chaos and restored national unity.
Prime Minister Reaffirms Unity as the Pillar of Islamic Governance
Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund delivered a message to the gathering, reaffirming that unity remains essential for the survival and strength of the Islamic system in Afghanistan.
His message echoed the broader stance of the Islamic Emirate: that a united Muslim nation, bound by faith and Sharia, is immune to foreign manipulation.
Call for Full Implementation of Sharia
Several officials, scholars, and community representatives at the gathering stressed the importance of firmly implementing Islamic Sharia as the only just and suitable framework for Afghan society.
They reiterated that Sharia not only provides moral and social stability but also safeguards the nation from ideological infiltration and foreign domination.
Media Restrictions in Line with Islamic Guidelines
Journalists were instructed not to take photos during the event, in accordance with directives from the Ministry of Vice and Virtue aimed at maintaining proper Islamic conduct and ensuring the sanctity of the gathering. (ILKHA)
