Israel reportedly launches multi-million-dollar influence campaign targeting U.S. Christians
Israel has reportedly launched a multi-million-dollar influence campaign aimed at improving its image among American Christian communities, according to documents and reports published by Haaretz and other international media outlets.
The campaign, disclosed in a Haaretz investigation on November 6, involves contracts worth several million dollars with U.S.-based public relations and digital marketing firms. It seeks to shape public opinion in favor of Israel amid growing criticism of its military actions in Gaza.
According to the report, the initiative focuses particularly on evangelical and conservative Christian audiences across the United States. It includes digital advertising, “geofencing” tactics around churches and Christian universities, and the use of artificial intelligence platforms to promote pro-Israel narratives.
Documents cited by the Palestine News Network (PNN) reveal that one of the firms involved is reportedly linked to Brad Parscale, a former digital strategist for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. The deal, valued at around $6 million over four months, aims to generate supportive content and counter online criticism.
The campaign’s objectives, according to Haaretz, extend beyond short-term reputation management. It also seeks to establish a long-term base of political and religious support among U.S. Christian communities, which have traditionally been among Israel’s most loyal allies.
Meanwhile, outlets such as The Forward and Truthout confirmed that Israel’s Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Public Diplomacy commissioned several PR agencies to run what has been described as one of the largest digital outreach efforts in recent years, targeting churches, social media users, and religious institutions across multiple U.S. states.
Neither the Israeli government nor the firms reportedly involved have issued an official statement addressing the allegations.(ILKHA)
