Two Palestinians were killed and three others injured on Monday afternoon in an Israeli airstrike targeting a car in the Nur Shams refugee camp, located in Tulkarem in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that the vehicle burst into flames after being struck by an Israeli drone. Emergency teams evacuated two individuals, including one who succumbed to injuries at the scene.
Later reports confirmed that the two fatalities were members of the al-Qassam Brigades, identified as Ihab Abu Utaiwa, the commander of the Hamas-affiliated group in Tulkarem refugee camp, and his associate, Ramez Damiri.
According to Al Jazeera, three additional individuals sustained injuries in the attack. The strike marks an escalation in violence in the region, with tensions continuing to rise in the occupied West Bank.
