Israeli airstrikes kill 14, injure dozens in Gaza as aggression intensifies

At least 14 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured early Tuesday in a fresh wave of Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple locations across the Gaza Strip, amid the ongoing military aggression that has entered its seventh month.
According to medical sources, the latest attacks, which began before dawn, struck Gaza City, Khan Yunis, and Deir al-Balah, as Israeli forces intensified their assault from air and land.
In one of the deadliest incidents of the day, nine civilians, including two children, were killed when Israeli warplanes bombed a residential building belonging to the Shabir family near the Al-Sikka area in central Khan Yunis. An additional 13 people were reported injured.
Further south in Khan Yunis, Israeli forces bombed a tent sheltering displaced civilians in the Al-Katiba neighborhood, injuring several more.
In Gaza City, an Israeli airstrike targeted a house belonging to the Bakr family, resulting in additional casualties, though exact numbers remain unconfirmed.
In Deir al-Balah, in the central part of the Strip, Dr. Majed Nasr Ismail was reportedly killed in an airstrike.
The occupation forces also launched raids on municipal and company equipment garages, in addition to residential homes in Rafah. Israeli artillery shelled areas in southern Khan Yunis, while bulldozers and other vehicles were struck near the Al-Mukhtar Chalet in Al-Qarara, north of Khan Yunis.
Israeli forces further demolished residential buildings in northern Rafah, and began a ground advancement from north of Rafah toward the Qizan Abu Rashwan area, under heavy artillery fire.
The Palestinian death toll from Israel’s aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has now risen to 51,240 martyrs, with 116,931 others wounded, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.
As the humanitarian situation worsens, calls for an immediate ceasefire continue to grow from international organizations and rights groups, though no resolution appears imminent. (ILKHA)
