Israeli attacks kill 52 civilians in 24 hours as Gaza death toll surpasses 57,500

At least 52 Palestinian civilians were killed and 262 others injured in the past 24 hours as Israeli forces intensified their deadly assault on the Gaza Strip, the Gaza Health Ministry reported Tuesday morning.
The latest casualties bring the number of Palestinians killed since March 18, 2025—when the Israeli army resumed its genocidal campaign—to 7,013, with 24,838 others injured during this most recent phase of the war.
Since the beginning of the Israeli onslaught on October 7, 2023, the cumulative death toll has now reached a staggering 57,575 martyrs, according to health ministry figures. Among them are 766 aid seekers who were reportedly killed at or near U.S.-backed humanitarian distribution points, further fueling accusations of deliberate targeting of civilians and the weaponization of aid.
The total number of wounded Palestinians has also climbed to 136,879, including 5,044 aid seekers, many of whom were attacked while trying to access food, water, or medical assistance amid the ongoing blockade and humanitarian collapse.
The health ministry confirmed that search and rescue teams are still working to recover the bodies of missing civilians across several areas of the Strip, particularly in neighborhoods that remain under rubble following weeks of indiscriminate Israeli bombardment.
Entire families continue to be buried beneath destroyed buildings as rescue operations face severe limitations due to fuel shortages, lack of equipment, and continued Israeli airstrikes.
The latest figures come amid what international organizations are calling a full-scale humanitarian disaster. The Israeli military campaign has decimated Gaza’s infrastructure, collapsed its health system, and left over 1.7 million Palestinians displaced, many of whom now live in tents or overcrowded shelters with little access to clean water, food, or medical care.
Human rights groups have reiterated urgent calls for an immediate ceasefire, full humanitarian access, and accountability for what many legal experts and U.N. officials have described as war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Despite growing international condemnation, Israeli forces continue to conduct operations across the Gaza Strip, including airstrikes, artillery shelling, and ground incursions. (ILKHA)
